The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a state-established regional cooperative of 26 cities and public water agencies, which collectively serves nearly 19 million people in six counties. Studio L. regularly collaborates with the MWD’s media unit to develop collateral materials supporting conservation, water quality, and water delivery.
Annual Water Quality Report
Studio L. collaborates with Metropolitan annually to design and layout their annual Water Quality Report. Our design objective is to create a unique and fresh look each year for delivering required water quality information to the public in a visually interesting report that is easy to read and informative in content.

Conceptualization and Strategy
Studio L. assisted Metropolitan in establishing a series of branded icons, charts, and graphs for use on fact sheets and their web site. These elements set standards to expand upon as further icon, and graph needs arise.
Metropolitan Inspection Trip Guides
MWD hosts small groups for weekend tours of the Colorado River and State Water Project to provide attendees an up-close look at how water is imported into Southern California. Studio L. collaborated with MWD to design and develop a keep sake book and itinerary template for the tours. The highlight book gives detailed information on the areas visited during the tour and the itinerary layout provides an easy to read and easy to update schedule for future trips.
