DECLARE . California State University, Long Beach

Located three miles from the Pacific Ocean, California State University Long Beach is a community within itself, boasting a student population of more than 37,000. It is home to top-notch professors, successful alumni and diverse student population ready to take on the world with a highly regarded education.

Facing constraints brought on by decades of reduced investment in public higher education more than ever fundraising is a critical source of revenue for the University. In response CSULB launched DECLARE, the first comprehensive campaign in the university’s history. Studio L. partnered with the University’s communications team to assist in designing materials to promote the campaign.

Result

DECLARE surpassed its campaign goal of $225 million. A productive relationship between CSULB and studio L. resulted in strong visual branding applied across a wide range of applications including print, web and community outreach. Not only a monetary success the university also created 135 endowments, more than 257,000 total gifts and 603 donations.
